Ida Ruth Anderson

	Ida Ruth Anderson, 82, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2004 at Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin.
	Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, where she was a former member of the choir.
	She was born January 12, 1922 in Du Quoin, the daughter of Fred and Pearl (Manion) Davison.  She married George Anderson Jr. in August 1944 in Du Quoin.
	Surviving are her husband, George Anderson Jr. of Du Quoin; daughters, Jane (Richard) Bird of Du Quoin, Barbie (Steve) Fred of Du Quoin, Joan (Fianc Lennie) Barron of Reno, Nev., Brenda (Bill) Craver of Jackson, Mo., Bonnie (Marty) Hughes of Grapevine, Tex., Betty (Tim) Schroeder of East Grand Forks, Minn.; son, George (Amy) Anderson III of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Carl Dean Davison of Aurora; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
	Funeral services were held Monday, April 19 at Maxton Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Schultz officiating.  Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
	Friends called after 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
	Memorials may be made to St. John's U.C.C. Choir.
